Quote of the Week

I have been writing in a journal and using a quotes I find each week. This weeks quote is:

A Smooth Sea Never Made a Skillful Sailorr
So when I am having a rough day I just remember this and think of how it will make me skillful in what I am doing and not to give up.So many times it's is easier to stop what your doing and walk away. That is when we need to take the time to reflect and find out why something isn't going right. Sometimes it's a matter of changing your perception of what your doing to see things right.

January Time to get Organized!!!

Getting organized! First step for this to happen is putting together my family planner.I searched all over the internet looking for something that would fit my needs for a planner. I did have a planner on my Nexus 7 until it died then I realized I didn't know what was going on or when. That is why I have choosen the old pen and paper method! That is the one reason why most planners fail, they don't work for the person using them. I strongly suggest to take time and look at every page and ask yourself "Will this planner realistically work for me?"
There are tons of sites that offer free printable sheets. At one point I was even toying with printing a pages at different sites that will work for me. I found a planner that had everything I needed. It was a AHH HAA moment. I was so thrill looking over the pages that were offered. This is where I got my planner at, even the title says it all "My Life Notebook" http://www.bringingcraftyback.net/the-life-notebook/

Now it's all printed in color(something my husband doesn't get he thinks black and white it ok), hole punched and put into my new binder I have been tasked with filling everything out! For the past week I have been using it and it seem to be working great for me!

However there are really cute planner pages for free all over the net! I liked this one as well

Something for the Family NEW YEARS!

I came across this yesterday while on Pinterest.

My thought was "Hey that's a cute idea to do at breakfast this morning." So I quickly printed up the 3 sheets and got them ready for everyone to fill out.
The kids filled their out and put them on the fridge and I put mine in my organizer so I can see it everyday!
Even though New Years has past this would be a great thing to do this weekend with people you love!

Here is the link to the website, ENJOY! http://www.homesweetfirsthome.com/2013/12/2014-goals.html

I'm Super Exicited!

Yes, It's a new Blog! I have been planning this blog out since August. It's not all about food, however living our lives the best we can. So let me start out about telling you about why I'm doing this.

Last Febuary I was laid off at work. My wonderful husband told me to take my time and be a stay at home mother for a bit while I find a company I would really like to work with. In husband talk he was telling to find out what I want to do in life. So I had to batten down the hatches with our budget and learn to be a housewife for a few months. To keep myself occupied I started posting my cooking on my blog, and now here we are. Or are we? Actually in August I went back to work with a wonderful company that has some Awesome employees. However now that I'm working, have 2 teenage kids (one that works) and my step-children moved 200 + miles away. (we have them a least twice a month) My life got really busy very quickly. Posting recipes or things that have or are helping me keep it together hopfully helps others. After all SUPERMOM'S need to stand together!

Get ready for A Year Long Challenge that will be posted tomorrow!
